Surviving
I had the realization that for this class, I need to study many hours each day. And so I put my notes and power points on the treadmill and run. And run, and run. For many miles, while pounding this info into my brain. So I get to run, and I get to study, and, well, we'll see how the first practical goes, and then the first exam a week later.
I was about to quit, but then I realized that this is MY dream. I want to go to nursing school, and so I'm going to try hard to get there. If it doesn't work out, that's fine, but it won't be for lack of trying. I'm not a quitter.
In the meantime I'm helping the kids with homework, cooking (more and more) vegetarian meals, and drinking a LOT of coffee, playing with playdough, and going to dance parties with our kids :). And coloring, and going to Board meetings (I work a bit for my kids' school). And write homestudy updates. I can do it all! (sort of).

Dance party (after hill concert) with our good friends and all our kids... disco in the ballroom!
I tried to get my "photographer" Brian to send me a kid dancing pic... they were all hilarious... will upload if I get one :). We live near this little hamlet called Saxapahaw, which is one of my favorite places in the world. the people there revived the village and it's loads of local, organic fun on ever level. We live exactly 7 miles down the road, and get to buy the farmers' food in the general store. Hard to beat that!
Here's my favorite current hymn (by 2 high school kids... I'm in love with them)... happy sunday!

I recognize that shirt from the Coolest Concert Night Ever! Pete's skateboarding dude is awesome.
ReplyDeleteAlso, we are doing the mostly vegetarian thing too. It's way cheaper, easier, and healthier. As long as I don't have to make any promises to abandon bacon ever again, I am totally cool with giving up meat for most meals.
