beach... 2 weeks late
It's August 6th? What what?
Since coming home we've done a lot of fun hangin' around. With neighbors, with the Duncs, with our pool, with Target (massive amounts of school supplies = depletion of my savings account), with some work (me), with Zach's dental school bff and his wife, with the canoe on the Haw River, with homemade ice cream at Maple View Farms and the Allman fam, with our washer and dryer, with the Olympics. Soaking up the last few days of summer. Best of all, we got to celebrate my sweet baby niece Laela's 1st birthday at a party last night with family and friends... we have had a blast over these last few weeks, and I'm so grateful!
Aaaanyway, if anyone is still reading this blog, HI. How are you? Sorry it's been so boring on the blog-front lately. I'm boring. I'm a boring writer with no need to write about anything controversial ever again for fear of attracting wackos. Loving this peaceful sliver of the universe.
My writing is now boring, but my kids remain cute. evidence from the beach a couple weeks ago, with all photos taken by my very talented photographer sister, Sophie:
My kiddos start school at the end of this week. No joke. I'm trying to fit my running in to train for a 1/2 in November, but other than that, my time has been committed to getting them ready for school (reviewing math, etc) and losing my freaking mind trying to combine school lists and then organize their stuff into correct piles. Not my strength, people, not my strength. But I don't do it now I'll go even more insane, due to that little class called Anatomy and Physiology section 1 starting too soon. Holy crap. More crazy stories and pictures of that wedding weekend coming up soon...

Great beach pics! I love the action shots. Clearly they hated every minute of it.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you are getting your kids ready for school. Is that bad? I mean, just between you and me, I'm kind of ready for school to start so I can get a 5 or 10-minute break! Yeesh!
